Thriller Dance Tribute

Our tribute to the late Michael Jackson, performed by Newcastle's very own Junior Glees Musical Society in front of the Festival Stage.
Newcastle Glees Musical Society are a local group now in their 60 th year and 20 years ago we started our youth programme doing an annual pantomime with up to 90 local children from 9 to 18. We own the Annesley Hall where we rehearse and perform and this allows us to provide a safe environment for the young people and many have joined our senior Company when they have grown too old to be in the Junior Company. The youth workshop performed “Little Shop of Horrors” in 2008 and in July 2009 we staged the Irish premiere of “Hairspray”. Our talented young people will also perform Michael Jacksons “THRILLER” dance on the Festival Stage in Newcastle on Saturday 31 October.
